THE ART OF MAGICKAL CANDLE BURNING

The light of the candle flame has been used throughout the ages to illuminate our way. In many magickal practices, candle burning has been used as the main way to bring thoughts, goals and wishes into physical reality. The most basic form of magick is to use colored candles, oils and herbs for their "vibrations". Another way of bringing more specific requests into form is the carving of sigils on the candle itself before burning. A sigil is a representation of a specific request intent created into an abstract design. Many amulets and talismans are created with sigils. The purpose of the sigil in candle magick is to release the information into the Astral Realm and then back to our Earthly Plane as the candle burns. As above, so below. Before we do anything physical it is created as a thought form on the astral level. An astral plane is the spiritual world, the place where all matter that is not physical exists.
Your "magickal will" is worked through your subconscious mind, it is the power that directs the seal on the candle into the astral plane. What you believe will manifest. If you consciously believe in what you are doing it will happen. Should you say negative statements behind your work (such as "Does this really work?" or "Nothing is happening!") you defeat your magkical work on a conscious level immediately. So don't think negatively. You must think positive thoughts to bring what you wish to you.
Usually once the candle burns past the carved sigil, the spell has noticeably started to produce results. Sometimes there is a delayed reaction however, as the universe knows the proper timing of events for the correct results.
